Meet the Smoothie Grabber Tool: your new secret weapon for switching up your stack with ease. Gold-toned and embossed with our signature logo, it helps you grip the front of your earring and screw it into the post securely, without the fuss, frustration, or 20-minute battles in front of the mirror.
✨ Please note: This tool isn’t suitable for very small solitaire-style flatbacks (like tiny gems or single stones), as they don’t have enough grip area. It works best on our classic or larger flatback styles with a slightly wider back.
Will it fit?
8mm - standard for lobes and most fresh piercings.
6mm - a snug fit for thinner cartilage placements (helix, tragus, flat). Fully healed and want it flush? Choose 6mm.
Internally threaded, with threads 3x longer than standard so the front catches first time at home. Sold as a single - choose Pair above if you want two.
Fresh piercing? Posts often need downsizing once the swelling goes. Ask your piercer when.

Can I sleep in it?
Yes. A flat disc sits behind the ear instead of a butterfly back, so there is nothing to poke into a pillow.
Will it turn green?
No. Implant-grade titanium does not fade, rust or discolour. Swim, sweat, shower and sleep in it.
Is that one earring or a pair?
One. Flatbacks are sold as singles so you can mix and match across lobe and helix positions. Choose Pair above if you want two of the same.
6mm or 8mm?
8mm is standard for lobes and most fresh piercings. 6mm is a snug fit for thinner cartilage placements - helix, tragus, flat. Tap where it is going above and we will pick for you. Still not sure? Spare posts are £1 each, or £5 for the kit with one of every size.
I have sensitive ears. Is this any different?

Can I put it straight into a fresh piercing?
Implant-grade titanium is what professional piercers use for healing piercings, but healing depends on more than the jewellery - post length, aftercare and not sleeping on it all matter, and posts often need downsizing once the swelling goes. Ask your piercer when to switch. They know your ear.
How do I put it in and take it out?
Internally threaded, with threads 3x longer than standard so the front catches first time. Twist the front piece onto the post to put it in; gently unscrew it to take it out.
What if something goes wrong?

Ideal for difficult piercings! I’ve always had to go back to the piercing shop to have any jewellery changed but now I can do it myself!

This flat back grabber tool is so helpful! I can use it with almost all of my flat backs except some of the really tiny fiddly ones. Makes changing flat backs so much quicker and a lot less stressful.

Thanks so much for the flat back grabber tool . Having lost a solid gold piercing due to not being able to tell if it was screwed in tight or not, It left me afraid of my remaining piercings being lost too. The flat back grabber tool makes it so easy to remove and then reinsert and tighten the earring. Wish I had had this earlier it’s a must ❤️

Such lovely earrings and tools - I absolutely love them. I got my piercings years ago now and they still haven’t healed, they’ve been acting up and itchy. As soon as I bought these and changed out my jewellery using the flatback grabber, they started doing so much better! I was very surprised, it was almost instantaneous. Would definitely recommend both the earrings and the tools to anyone thinking of trying!
I struggle using this to screw on the front piece of earrings if it is dainty and small. The grabber has sucked the earring back into the tool before. However, with the insertion tapper I have been able to insert backs on my own. If you are considering buying this buy the insertion taper as well!

Makes putting flatbacks in so much easier. Only downside is it can't grip the smaller ones
The grabber is great on the bigger pieces but was a really fiddle with the smaller studs as they disappear into the grabber!
I bought a new piece for my helix piercing but was really struggling to put it in. I thought I would try the little grabber tool, not really expecting it to work - but it does! I'm really pleased with it.
The flat back grabber was a godsend, especially with the smaller earrings that were just too fiddly to fit with fingers. My helix was the hardest to fit as the post was only 6mm and the front was a tiny flower, but it worked and threaded really well! Didn’t take me half as long as I imagined it would.
