How to Insert Your Internally Threaded Flatback
Our flatback earrings are internally threaded, meaning the decorative front screws securely into the post for a comfortable, long-lasting fit.
- Insert the flatback post through your piercing from the back of your ear.
- Hold the post in place. We recommend using one of our Insertion Tapers to make this much easier, especially for cartilage piercings.
- Attach the front by gently screwing it into the post clockwise until secure. Do not overtighten.
- If your front charm is larger, our Flatback Grabber Tool can help you hold and tighten it.
- For smaller fronts, we recommend using a small piece of Blu Tack on the front to help grip it while screwing it into place.
Tip: If you're fitting your jewellery for the first time, take your time and use a mirror in good lighting. Once secured, your flatback is designed to stay comfortably in place for everyday wear.
