Description
A flatback stud with two bezel-set stones suspended on fine chains of different lengths. Designed for vertical helix or hidden helix placement - the chains drape down for movement and dimension.

Please note: 1.2mm is a standard cartilage gauge and may be too thick for most lobe piercings, which are typically pierced at 0.8mm or 1.0mm.

6mm - a snug fit for thinner cartilage placements (helix, tragus, flat). Fully healed and want it flush? Choose 6mm.
Internally threaded, with threads 3x longer than standard so the front catches first time at home. Sold as a single - choose Pair above if you want two.
Fresh piercing? Posts often need downsizing once the swelling goes. Ask your piercer when.

Can I sleep in it?
Yes. A flat disc sits behind the ear instead of a butterfly back, so there is nothing to poke into a pillow.
Will it turn green?
No. Implant-grade titanium does not fade, rust or discolour. Swim, sweat, shower and sleep in it.
Is that one earring or a pair?
One. Flatbacks are sold as singles so you can mix and match across lobe and helix positions. Choose Pair above if you want two of the same.
6mm or 8mm?
8mm is standard for lobes and most fresh piercings. 6mm is a snug fit for thinner cartilage placements - helix, tragus, flat. Tap where it is going above and we will pick for you. Still not sure? Spare posts are £1 each, or £5 for the kit with one of every size.
I have sensitive ears. Is this any different?
Our titanium is Implantium™, implant-grade F-136 - the material piercers actually recommend. Nickel-free and hypoallergenic.
Can I put it straight into a fresh piercing?
Implant-grade titanium is what professional piercers use for healing piercings, but healing depends on more than the jewellery - post length, aftercare and not sleeping on it all matter, and posts often need downsizing once the swelling goes. Ask your piercer when to switch. They know your ear.
How do I put it in and take it out?
Internally threaded, with threads 3x longer than standard so the front catches first time. Twist the front piece onto the post to put it in; gently unscrew it to take it out.
What if something goes wrong?

The earring is dainty and very comfortable. I have smaller ears so it’s a little too big for my cartilage piercing - I will wear it lower down my ear.
I preordered the gilded leaf flatback stud and it was worth the wait! It came within the delivery window that it stated and came perfectly packaged with a lovely travel pouch! The item itself is perfect, I love the shape of the flatback! I also love that the screw in front has a slightly longer thread than others, making it easier to tighten the earring. The piece is perfect and I love the design and the shine it has!
